Brief CV

I have some fifty years' experience as a supervisor/manager/worker in various settings. These include the NHS, the voluntary sector, teaching, running my own business and looking after my home and children.

From 2007 to 2013 I helped to found and operate Arkordia, a co-operative dedicated to providing a counselling and psychotherapy service accessible to those with a limited income.

I have practised mindfulness (insight) meditation since the 1970's. Since 2003 I have danced 5 Rhythms movement meditation.
 
Counselling/Psychotherapy Training

In addition to the detail below I complete the thirty hours each year of personal and professional development that are required to keep my Senior Accreditation Qualification. Training Course Examples are: Working With Asylum Seekers and Survivors of Torture, Advanced Supervision Skills, Use of Metaphor, Power of Presence, Developing Supervision Practice, Counselling Children and Young People, Working With The Edges of Therapy, Action Encounter, Working with the Shadow, Working Outside The Consulting Room.
